South Africa’s most innovative and affordable green solutions for low cost living were on display at the V&A Waterfront, Cape Town as part of the Better Living Challenge Showcase.
The Better Living Challenge (www.betterlivingchallenge.co.za) has been on the hunt to uncover solutions and ideas to improve the lives and homes of people living in low-income areas. Groundbreaking products and innovations that are affordable, well designed and green are being brought to life through the competition.
As part of the event, a stimulating, curated exhibition of shortlisted product designs and innovations was on display at Cape Town’s V&A Waterfront. Better Living Challenge display plinths were placed in the vicinity of Woolworths on both the upper and lower levels of one the city’s most visited shopping and leisure destinations, popular with local and international visitors. Informative and engaging, the displays revealed prototypes, scale models and actual products that had been entered into the challenge.
The exhibition at the V&A Waterfront was a precursor to the Better Living Challenge Showcase, at the Cape Town Station Forecourt until 8 November 2014.
